United Methodist Women

September 30th, 2015 by Kali Lewis

The United Methodist Women’s Reading Program for 2015 is drawing to a close. Those who have been participating must complete their plan and turn in the completed form to Mary Prater ASAP so that she can forward it to the District Resources Chairperson so that our unit will receive credit at the October District Celebration. I hope you who have been participating in the program have learned a little more about the world around you and will encourage more women to participate in the 2016 program.
The annual Marquette District UMW Celebration meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 6, in St. Ignace. I hope many of you from FUMC will be able to attend. More information and a registration form should be available soon.
The Naomi Circle will be meeting the third Tuesday in September. Check with Ruth Circle chairwoman Sharon Feichtenbiner as to where the group will meet and what the subject of the day will be. There will also be an important discussion concerning the future of the Naomi Circle. All UMW women (including the Ruth Circle) are urged to attend this meeting.
Our regular activities continue as well: The monthly hymn sing is held the first Monday of each month at 10 AM at the Medical Care Facility. However, there will be no hymn sing in September due to the first Monday being Labor Day.
